Your First Evaluation
Your first evaluation as a new patient will give us a complete picture of your present oral health. First, we'll ask for a brief dental and medical history. Your examination will include an evaluation of past, existing, and potential problems. We'll examine your oral tissues for decay and gum/bone disease. X-rays are used to identify hidden problems. If a malocclusion is present or developing we may also take diagnostic impressions. This information will guide us in the planning of your treatment.

Recare Visits
Regular preventative care is the key to maintaining good dental health. It is your responsibility to follow prescribed daily care and return for scheduled treatment. We will schedule your recare appointment to ensure you maintain the best oral health.

At the time of your recare visit, please advise the office staff of any change in your:

  1. Address or telephone number
  2. Marital status
  3. Employment and insurance coverage

Fees and Payments
We make every effort to keep down the cost of your dental care. You can help by paying for treatment at the time of your visit. If your treatment program requires several visits, you will be given an estimate of the total treatment. Our office does not want you to be surprised by any unexpected costs.

Insurance
Dental insurance is intended to cover some, but not all, of the cost of your dental care. Most plans include coinsurance, a deductible and other expenses which must be paid by the patient.

If you have dental insurance, please bring your plan information with you to assure that you receive the maximum benefits to which you are entitled.

If you have any questions regarding your coverage, please ask a member of our business office staff and we will work with you to find the answer.

Protecting Your Health
We know that many people today are concerned about the risk of contracting an infectious disease such as AIDS, hepatitis, or herpes through dental treatment. The simple fact is, because we follow the infection control guidelines of the American Dental Association, the chance of any infection is extremely remote. For your protection, wee maintain the most up-to-date methods of sterilization and infection control.
